The agency recognizes the importance and need for students to gain practical work experience. We accept student placements from University, College and other post-secondary institutions. Students are considered from a wide range of studies including, however not limited to: social work, child and youth, law & justice, corrections, addictions and human resources. Placement provides students with an opportunity to learn and acquire skills and hands-on experience in a not for profit charitable organization that is focused in areas of social service, criminal justice and homelessness.
We also provide a supportive environment for people completing community work placements and community service hours. Completion of hours is monitored and confirmation is provided.
For more information about student placement and to schedule an interview please contact our Ongoing Support and Volunteer Services Coordinator at (705) 673-1364 ext 207.
